Half way to 3

The day after Christmas Hailey was 2 and a half. I can't believe that she is getting so big. She sure brings a lot of joy and sunshine into my life. Life would be so dull without her and her humor around! I just wanted to jot some notes down to remember later on about how much fun she is at this age!

-reverse psychology does not work with her AT ALL
-she doesn't forget anything
-always telling others that they need to share and she is getting better at it herself
-late at night Patrick and I watch her on the monitor and laugh hysterically because she is always talking to herself and saying the funniest things
-she LOVES her brother and can't get enough of him
-she likes to hold Tyler's hand while riding in the car
-talks to him when she thinks no one is listening in a sweet motherly voice
-she is great at making Tyler laugh
-loves to watch Dora and Max and Ruby
-can be so sweet at times and feisty at others
-loves to play hide and seek and usually will give herself up before you find her
-she can be a very picky eater just like her daddy
-loves to watch mommy and daddy play soccer
-learned to jump about a month ago

-loves to take pictures with my camera and is pretty good at it
she is a WONDERFUL sleeper and won't get out of bed EVER even if she wakes up in the morning
-LOVES LOVES LOVES Chocolate milk and would drink it every meal if she could
-says things that amaze her daddy and I each day
-has an amazing imagination... into playing bank lady, pretending there is a bear in our house, she is a princess and the castle is in our living room, furniture in the house are rides at Disneyland
-carries on conversations well with people on the phone
-when I ask her to do something she asks me if she will get a spanking if she doesn't

-she has the most amazing manners, working on please(more demanding) but is great with thank you and your welcome
-loves her grandparents
-loves her kitty Abby

Magical Forest

We went to the Magical Forest again this year with Grandma and Grandpa Halligan! We had such a great time!

Mall with Santa

We took the kids to the mall to have their traditional picture with Santa. The line was insane but we decided to wait anyways. The line seemed to be going rather quickly until Santa decided to go feed his dang reindeer. He left for an HOUR! Can you believe that? While waiting Hailey and I went to the bathroom three times! After what seemed like a century in line we finally made it and what did Hailey do, she refused to sit on his lap. I couldn't believe it! The entire time we were waiting she was so excited and when we FINALLY got our turn, she wanted nothing to do with the jolly old elf. Maybe it was because he actually wasn't very jolly. Tyler on the other hand was just as happy as can be. We got a great picture of him and a not so great picture of me forcing Hailey to be somewhat cooperative!
PICTURE COMING SOON!!!!!!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Jayme

Mike and Jayme came through Vegas on their way back home so we got to spend a little bit of time with them. It was nice seeing them and introducing them to Tyler for the first time!

Dad's Birthday

For my Dad's 60th Birthday we took him to the new indoor race track. Jed, Patrick and my dad had fun competing and the rest of us had fun watching them. Later on we had dinner, cake and ice cream at Amy's house to celebrate!
Happy Birthday Dad, I love you!

Santa Party at Grandma and Grandpa's

Every year my mom and dad have a big Christmas party at their house for family. Santa comes and brings the kids gifts and we get to sing Christmas Carols and enjoy each others company. Hailey is at such a fun age this year and she really enjoyed Santa. Tyler is still too young to be scared so it was a lot of fun watching his eyes light up with excitement just as Hailey's did. Hailey was hilarious this year because when Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas her response was, " A baby sister!" HA HA!

Bath Time

Here are just some of the unexpected baths that occur regularly at our house, the first because a stinky little boy had a blow out diaper and the second because a sneaky little girl got hold of a permanent marker! Fun times!

4 months old

Tyler turned 4 months old today! Here are some new things he has been doing the past month...
  • He has really started to reach for things and gets so excited when he gets them.
  • He giggles a lot now, especially at sis and it is ADORABLE!
  • Bath time is so much fun because he gets so excited and starts kicking his feet and moving his arms like crazy. He still LOVES taking a bath, I wonder when that will change?
  • He has discovered his hands and feet and loves to play with them all the time.
  • He loves his daddy and is always starring at him and watching his every move.
  • He is still trying to suck his thumb but has also discovered his toes and he likes to suck on them too. =)
  • He has been babbling a lot. He lets out screams of excitement and it is so funny!
  • He can roll onto each side but he keeps getting stuck on his shoulder!
  • His back is really ticklish. If you try to tickle it he arches his back and lets out a little squeal.
  • He is starting to scoot all over when he is on his back.

Happy 4 month Birthday Tyler! XOXO

Swim Lessons

Last week Hailey was bumped up to the solo swim class. Yesterday was her first day! This means no more swimming with Daddy. Patrick was a little sad just thinking about his little girl not "needing" him to swim with her anymore. I told him he better get used to it because she is growing up too fast and turning into little Miss Independent! We were a little worried that Hailey wouldn't get in the water without her dad but she did and was amazing! We were thinking we would have to hide from her so she wouldn't want us to come in but she didn't even try to look for us. She has two other boys in her class and she was so excited. When it came time to dive for the rings she went down and got all three, which was better than the boys could do! Today while talking Hailey said to me, "Hey mom, you know the boys in swim class, I like them!" Ut oh!

Visiting Santa

We took the kids to The Bass Pro Shops to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. They had a great time. I was shocked that Hailey actually sat on Santa's lap! Cousins!

Hailey was so thrilled to see a pink four wheeler. She said she is going to ask Santa for one. =)

Waking Up

Hailey loves to be waken up by Tyler. It is really sweet to see how excited she gets to see him first thing in the morning. She smothers him with kisses and cuddles! =)

Mom's Birthday

My mom celebrated another birthday and of course she doesn't look a day older. We had a great time eating at Buca and celebrating with her. Grandma Texas came into town to celebrate with us as well. She did some celebrating of her own when she became a winner while playing the slots!
Big Winner!
Great Grandma posing with Wes and Tyler, poor boys are out numbered for now!

Grandma and Great Grandma with all the kids!

Eating Pinenuts with Papa

My dad is actually allergic to these things but he loves them so much that he doesn't care. Patrick thinks our family is weird because we eat them. Needless to say, Hailey loves them just like her momma!

Sweetest Sound

Tonight when Hailey was taking a bath she was being really silly and making faces at Tyler. All of a sudden he just started laughing hysterically at her. It was the first time we had heard his giggles and they were so cute. We of course got the video camera out and had Hailey entertain him again so we could get the sweet sound on camera! It is amazing how one little laugh can bring so much joy!

Date with Papa and GeeGaw

Papa and GeeGaw took Hailey to her first big screen movie. It was the 70th anniversary of
The Wizard of Oz
so all theaters showed it for one night. Hailey was so excited! She is OBSESSED with the movie and probably knows it better than any grown-up I know. When my mom and dad picked her up for the date, she was dressed in her Dorothy dress with her ruby red slippers. She was in heaven with a large screen and buttery popcorn. My mom and dad said that she provided commentary for the entire theater. Later on that night I heard her singing, "follow the yellow brick road" to herself as she was trying to sleep! Too cute! My mom has all the pictures on her camera so hopefully I can get some on here soon!

Air Show

Today we took the kids to the Air Show at Nellis Air Force base. I also had a sweet sweet moment when I was holding Tyler and he looked up and touched my face and continued to pat it for the first time! I MELTED!
