Happy Birthday!

I can't even believe my baby is already one? She sure is a joy! Last year on our anniversary Patrick and I went into the hospital and the next day Hailey was born. She was only 5lbs 6oz and 18in then, but she sure has grown. Yesterday we took her to the doctor and she was 21lbs and 29in. Each day she is learning a new word or words and is doing something new that makes Patrick and I bust up laughing. She loves to smile and laugh and is always happy. She is so sweet!
Here are some words that Hailey can say so far:
Mama, Daddy, Dog, Papa, Hi (All the time), Moon, Thank you (SO CUTE), Hailey, Ball, Ut Oh, No-No, Turtle, Please, More, That, Yeah, and Baby.
It is so cute because she knows what each word means and she uses them in perfect context. Her favorite word right now is "Hi". She says it every time she sees animals and people, even strangers. She will just wave and give them a great big "hi". She also will say it as soon as I put the phone to her ear. My dad loves to give her the phone and listen to her say "hi" in her really excited voice! It really is adorable!
Hailey loves books. She likes to be read to and also likes to read to herself. It is cute to listen to baby babble when she tries to read. She just mixes up every sound imaginable into something that makes complete sense to her.
I love it when she says "thank you". She says it almost every time you hand something to her. It is the sweetest thing! I love it when she is really sleepy and I give her something and in a really soft voice she says "thank you". It melts my heart!
I can't believe how one little baby can change so much. I posted a picture from every month so everyone could see how fast she has grown and how much she has changed. I love every minute that I get to spend with her. She has a contagious personality and no matter what is going on or what mood you want to be in, you can't help but be happy around her!
Dear Hailey, Daddy and Mommy love you to the moon and back sweet Hailey! Thank you for making our first year as parents so wonderful. We are looking forward to many many many more years as your mommy and daddy. We are so lucky to have you in our lives! Happy First Birthday! xoxo

Happy Anniversary!

6-25-05
Today is our 3rd Anniversary! Wow, time sure does fly. I still feel like we are newlyweds. I can't get enough of my handsome husband! I want to be with him all the time. I am sure it is a little annoying to him. What can I say, I am obsessed with the man!
I love you Patrick and I am looking forward to forever with you by my side!
Happy Anniversary!

Camping

We went camping with the family last weekend! Hailey loved every minute of it! She didn't nap at all. She even fought us when it was time to sleep at night because she was afraid she would miss something exciting. The cousins took turns pulling her in a wagon, pushing her in her toy car, she played with the dogs and in the dirt, went on a moped ride with her grandpa, visited the ice caves, went on bike rides and just loved being in the fresh cool air. We had a wonderful time and can't wait until our next camping trip!

Patrick

I just wanted to post a picture of my handsome husband and cute baby that was taken on fathers day. Happy First Father's Day Patrick! From the moment Hailey entered this world, you became an amazing father! She and I are both so lucky to have you in our lives. What would we do without you? Thanks for loving Hailey and I with everything that you have! You make us feel so special and we love you so much!

Dad and Dave

Grandpa Hafen
Dad, A little late, but wanted to tell you Happy Father's Day. Thank you so much for all that you have done and still to do for me. You have been and still continue to be the best father a girl could ask for. You have always put mom and us girls first and have been a great example for everyone around you. There is no doubt that you love children. Seeing you with Hailey is so wonderful to me. I see how much you love her and how much joy you and Hailey have when you are together. Amber, Amy and I are so LUCKY to have you as a father.
I love you Dad, thanks for being my HERO!
Grandpa HalliganDave, Happy Belated Father's Day! Thanks for being a great grandpa to Hailey, she loves you so much. Also, thanks for being a wonderful father in law, I couldn't have asked for a better one! Patrick looks up to you so much. He is an amazing friend, husband and father because of the tremendous example you have lead for him! Sharon is one lucky women! Thanks for all that you do for our family.
We love you!

One Full Bathtub!

Sydney, Hailey and Hannah getting shiny!
We went swimming at my mom and dads and afterwards the girls took a bath. It's funny to see the three of them together. Now it seems like there is such a huge difference from one to the other because of their different sizes, but they are all so close in age. Soon they will be getting into so much trouble. Hailey will be the innocent one, of course! =)

Hailey LOVES taking a BATH!

Pig Tails

My cousin, Angie, can put Hailey's hair into the cutest little pigtails. I try, but can't get her to sit still long enough for them to turn out straight. Angie on the other hand is a pro at doing hair, probably because her two little ones always have their hair done up so cute. They even have an entire tackle box full of any kind of hair accessory imaginable!

Swimming!

Last weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa Halligan's to enjoy their warm pool! This is the first time Hailey has been swimming, not counting her many bathtub attempts! She instantly transformed into a FISH. I could not believe how much she loved to be in the water. At first she was a little scared and was hanging onto daddy's neck really tight, but it did not take her long to get used to it. When Patrick put her into her floatie she just laid her head back and relaxed. She looked like she was trying to get a sun tan! =) Let's hope she has the ability to tan like her daddy, the sun and I are NOT friends!

I Love this MAN!

All I have to say is WOW, I sure got LUCKY! I LoVe, lOvE, LoVe this MAN!

The Zoo

My mom and dad decided to take the family for a trip to the zoo. Amber and Pat were missing, they were enjoying a kid free day! They don't get those very often! We had a lot of fun, except for the CRAZY pigeons everywhere. The Zoo Keepers were feeding the animals when we got there. That was really exciting because all of the animals were out and moving around. We also got some sex education while we were there, thanks to the monkeys! I think Patrick is still laughing! My dad was being a stinker and poking all of us with sticks while we were not looking which of course made us all wonder what creature was trying to ATTACK! I think he actually managed to scare all of us, which probably made his day! Of course he made it up to all of us by buying us some ice cream. =)
