Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa Halligan's

Hailey LOVES going to Grandma and Grandpa Halligan's house. She loves to see Tucker and Brandie and swim in the pool. Grandma and Grandpa always have great treats for her, she is one spoiled little girl!
Grandpa and Hailey made a "fort" under the kitchen table and were playing with Barbie Dolls. So cute!

My Shower...June 10!

In June my mom and sisters threw me such an amazing baby shower for our little guy! Here are just some of the many pictures:

Amber, Me, Mom and Amy! Love you guys! XOXO

Grandma Halligan was so sweet and brought Hailey a present to open as well!
Thank you everyone who came to "shower" me with much love and so many gifts! We have everything we need to bring this baby home now! I feel so very fortunate to have such an amazing family and great group of friends! You guys are the best! Also, to my sisters and mom, I don't know what I would do without you!
I love you all so much!

Am I SUPPOSED to laugh.....

Tonight when Hailey was sitting at the dinner table she decided that she wanted a popsicle instead of her food. She must have asked her dad and I about one hundred times, " Can I have a popsicle." Every time we would tell her no she would ask again. Finally I gave in (a little) and asked her if she would like something else for dinner and she got really excited and said "yes!" When we asked her what she would like she said, "A POPSICLE!" It was so cute but frustrating!

At our second attempt to feed her some dinner she was still not eating even though she kept saying, " my tummy is hungry." She kept trying to get down from the table and leave so finally I told her if she got down from the table she was going to get a spanking. She looked at me super serious, got down from the table, walked over to me, pulled her dress up and said, "just spank me mommy." I am thinking that either I don't spank hard enough or dinner must have been really yucky tonight!

Hailey's Birthday Party!... Posted Late (SORRY)

On the 27th of June, one day after Hailey's two year birthday, we threw her a Minnie Mouse party at our house. She had so much fun! We had a bouncer, water balloons and lots of kids around to share in Hailey's special day with us!

Potty trained... I HOPE!

So this past weekend Patrick and I decided to let Hailey run around naked and try to use the big girl potty. She ended up going pee all over herself ONCE and decided that she did not like that at all. So from then on she would make a noise like, "uh huh" and just kind of freeze with her eyes wide open. It didn't take us long to decide that she was letting us know she had to go potty. Going "number 2" was a little bit more of a challenge because it would scare her. The whole time she would try she would look at me and ask, "It's OK mommy?" She decided it wasn't so bad after a few attempts and me telling her over and over again that she would be OK. The best part was after she was finished she would stick her head half way in the toilet and YELL "Bye-Bye Poo Poo" as she flushed! We went the whole weekend and the last few days accident free. She loves to let everyone know how big she is by running out of the bathroom saying, "I such a big girl." I am sure it won't be this easy but it is a great start to potty training success!
Way to go Hailey! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you for being such a big girl!

Happy 4th Of July

Hailey had such a good time on the 4th. We spent the day with some good friends playing games and eating lots of food and then ended the night at my Aunt's house hanging out with family and blowing stuff up. At first Hailey was terrified of the fireworks, but once she got used to them she would just stare and say, "Oh pretty" or "WoW!" It was so cute because she kept covering her ears saying, "that too loud" when the big stuff was going off! She had so much fun which made Patrick and I enjoy the day so much more!

Ultrasound

Yesterday we went for an Ultrasound to check on the baby because my doctor was a little worried that I was measuring small. Anyone who knows me, knows I was freaking out about it! When we got there, the ultrasound couldn't have gone any better. Everything looked great and he even is considered BIG (70% percentile) for right now. He measured in at 5lbs 11oz (which I know can be a little off, it was just a big relief). Hailey was only 5lbs 6 oz when born and I thought I was delivering a 20 lb baby. I am a little worried that he might be a big guy, but I am really happy that everything is looking good and he is healthy!

Here are some pics...

His foot (which they say is BIG)

His cute little alien face!

And lastly, proof that he is still a Boy! =)

Getting Baby's Room Ready

We have been slacking. Around this time in my pregnancy with Hailey her room was complete, clothes were washed and we were just waiting! This poor little guy will be waiting for us if we keep it up! =) The good news is that Patrick, with the help of Hailey, put the crib, dresser and hutch together over the weekend so now we just have small things to worry about! Hailey is obsessed with her brother's room. She loves his new crib and wants to play in it every chance she gets.

Here is Hailey in front of brother's crib showing off her "Dorothy Shoes!"

Funny

  • The other day Hailey and I were driving home when she asked me, "Mommy, baby brother done growing yet?" My answer to her was, "No, not yet." To which she replied, "When he done growing I get in your tummy."
  • I also took the little cutie to get her very first library card yesterday! She was SO excited! She was running around the library holding it telling everyone, "My own card!" When I asked her if I could have it back to put into my purse she said, "No, I put in my purse at home." She is a character that is FOR SURE!
  • Another funny (well not really) is that Hailey has been battling with constipation problems off and on for a while now. A few weeks ago Hailey was sitting at the kitchen table when she looked up at Patrick and I and told us, " I constibated", (constipated) as tears rolled down her cheeks. I was part in shock because I didn't even know she could pronounce (sort of) such a big word and my heart also ached for her because I knew she was hurting so badly. She has been struggling with the issue for a few days so we decided to take her to the doctor. The doctor worked her magic and helped Hailey relieve her pain( it was NOT EASY). From that moment on she loves to tell people, "I constibated, Doctor help me go poo poo!" (That would be the funny part)=)
