Abby!

Well, we did it! We broke down and let Hailey get a kitty! Aunt Amy and Uncle Jed were hounding us for days to take one of their kittens off their hands and we kept going back and forth about it. One night we went over there and Hailey said, "can I take kitty home?" and we decided to give it a go. The entire ride home we listened to the kitten cry and Hailey say over and over again, "it's ok kitty, we almost home." It was so sweet! Then for the next few days we had to listen to Hailey ask us over and over again, " I keep her?" How could you say NO? Hailey decided that we were going to name the kitty Abby. We aren't exactly sure if it is because of the character from Sesame Street (which she doesn't watch) or because of her friend Abbi in Montana! We have all bonded with this cat. She loves to curl up next to us and cuddle and purr. Hailey has to kiss her goodnight and as soon as she wakes up in the morning. Whenever Hailey has something exciting happen she immediately wants to show Abby. Hailey is having a hard time sharing with Abby though. I figure it will be good practice for when her brother finally comes along!
